As well as a source of information about our Practice, the staff & the services we provide, we hope you use the website as a useful resource with links to other reliable websites for health related information. If there is topical health information we will also add this to the website.

REMINDER……

The localhospitals are under immense pressure to effectively manage unplannedadmissions, and we are working in partnership with the acute Trusts to ensurethat patients receive the most appropriate care at all times, and avoid anyunnecessary admissions.

Please try andavoid unecessary calls to the ambulance service

There is a DutyDoctor available all day to advise on the management of emergencies. The doctorcan advise whether an urgent surgery appointment, emergency visit or anambulance call-out is most appropriate.

We wouldappreciate any feedback on difficulties you may have in accessing the service.

Practice History

One doctor, one staff member and a few hundred patients first established this practice in, 1972. We are now a training practice of five doctors, who are supported by a complement of staff that includes a practice manager, four nurses, a health care assistant, receptionists, secretaries and clerical staff.

The practice is supported by a team of district nurses, midwives, community psychiatric nurses (adult and child), health visitors and a practice counsellor. We have facilities for the disabled and have a large car park attached to the Health Centre. Other facilities include physiotherapy, podiatry and speech therapy for children.
